overn-mentofCanadahesaid.TheensuingeventsinUkrainehavegivenanopportunityforthisbrashstatementtoplayoutasthechairoftheArcticCoun-cilMinisterLeonaAgluk-kaqhasboycottedanim-portantmeetinginRussiaonclimatechangefactors.AswellthisweekitwasrevealedthatthefacetofacemeetingoftheArc-ticCouncilinIqaluitthissummerhasbeencancelled-supposedlybecauseofalackofagenda.Canadiansneedtowatchhowthisattitudeisgoingtoplayoutgoingforward.Thereismuchatstakeandaconfrontationalattitudeshouldnotbetheapproachwearetakinginourpartoftheworld.IsCanadastwo-yearchairmanshipoftheArc-ticCounciltoleadtoitsdiminishmentIsthatwhatthePrimeMinisterwantsDennisBevingtonMPWesternArcticFromtheHouseLetsnotre-starttheColdWarintheWarmingArcticAlbertaregulatorarespectedmodelforothers
